Most large and complex projects will involve working with third party service providers working with your business teams under some form of agreement. In this session, Nick will share his experiences on designing and managing commercial arrangements and the two key areas that Project Managers should know intimately.

There are many ways to manage a project, and when working with a third party provider on a project, the way you or your provider manages the project will have a significant impact on the commercial arrangements. In this session, Nick will share his experiences on designing commercial arrangements for project delivery and management, and in particular focus these two key considerations that have significant impact:

Deciding who manages risk; and

Conceding control.

 

Nick Warwick – Executive / Programme Manager, Suncorp

Nick has been employed at Suncorp for the past 7 years managing a variety of project roles across Insurance, Banking, Treasury and IT. Nick's current role as an Executive/Programme Manager for Group Procurement across Suncorp means that he manages diverse teamsresponsible for projects that focus on either business process re-engineering or major complex system implementations.

Prior to joining Suncorp, Nick successfully delivered projects in mining, communications, manufacturing, energy, emergency services, and financial services spanning countries such as Australia, Norway, USA, NZ, India and South Korea.

Nick is PMP (Project Management Professional) certified, is a SAP certified consultant (Plant Maintenance and Service Management and has a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics).

In his presentations Nick will share his experiences on the commercial arrangements with service providers when designing and delivering complex business projects.
